Plans are underway to ship vast quantities of liquefied natural gas from a facility under construction in rural Bradford County to Gibbstown, NJ. While the majority of the plant’s LNG would be shipped by rail, truck transportation also is in play. A PennDOT study suggests the plan could result in up to 800 tanker trucks per day rumbling through the Abingtons on U.S. highways 6 and 11, right through the middle of Clarks Summit.
